| I am delighted that I was part of Rotaract District Assembly in Pokhara and had an opportunity to meet with so many of the generation next.
Pleased to learn that you are now taking over leadership of your team, My sincere congratulations to you and your team and wish you and your team all success. Also happy to learn that your club is publishing a souvenir which will incorporate its past activities and future plans. I wish you and the club members’ success in this endeavor. Rotary International has recently added a new Avenue of Service –New generation, in recognition of the potential of and services provided by the young generation. This generation Young is a busy, perhaps busier than previous generation. It is a challenge for Rotarians to connect to young people. The Rotaractors of today are the leaders and also Rotarians of tomorrow, who will take Rotary to greater heights. RI President Kalyan Banerjee has placed emphasis on three issues- Family, continuity and change. On the third emphasis “change”, he very fondly quotes Mahatma Gandhi, who said “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”. The young Generation, today, is globally minded and many members of this generation have network of friends around the globe, who are only a click away. This generation can be the change it wants to see. |
