Rotrek Tour 2017

Ro-Trek Tour is a round trip that fosters global Rotaract ties and providing an adventurous experience in the foothills of Himalayas while exposing to Nepalese culture. Headed by Rotary International District 3292, in partnership with Rotaract clubs of Nepal, 12 international Rotaractors will partake in activities that will take you to explore grandeur of the Himalayas and experience unique mix of diverse nature and culture of Nepal. Trekking into the foothills of Himalayas, rafting on mountain fed white water are the prominent features of 12-day tour.

Itinerary


12 Rotaractors aged 18-30, from around the world will be invited to join us on a trip of a lifetime following a successful application process. Ro-Trek Tour 2017 will start from 2 March 2017 to 13 March 2017. The trip will start from Kathmandu, giving the taste of ethnic Newari culture and opportunity to explore marvellous art & architecture around World Heritage Sites. You will then head west towards Pokhara valley where the trek into Himalayas will start. But before you step into the laps of the mountains, literally!, you will go through unprecedented experience of whitewater rafting. Then, the trekking will take you through small villages into rugged high mountain landscape with amazing view of world’s highest mountains above 8000m. The tour will also take you to southern plains. Experience the serenity at Lumbini and then on the same day, enter into the wild jungle safari in Chitwan. Upon your return to Kathmandu, experience the festival of colors, Holi, which is widely celebrated across Nepal and India.

Terms And Conditions

  • We reserve the right to make changes to both terms & conditions
  • and to the published program if necessary.
  • Participants have to be at least 18 years old.
  • With your registration, you agree to publish your full name, photo, country, district and club on our website and Facebook.
  • Should a participant wish to cancel his/her trip for any reason, s/he should inform the Organizers by 20 February.
  • Visa support documents (eg. invitation letter) will be provided if requested by the participant.
  • The participants are requested to arrange their own personal travel to Nepal and health insurance.
  • The organizers will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to person or property during the program.
  • The payment details will be sent only after the participants are selected.
  • Only after successful payment of registration fee of US$500, will the participation confirmed.
  • By completing the registration process and making payment you agree to these terms and conditions.

Applicants' Requisites

  • Active member of any Rotaract Club
  • Able to travel at least 12 days in Nepal.
  • Valid Passport and Visa to travel to Nepal.
  • Have a good health, Able to trek.
  • Friendly attitude. Enthusiasm to interact with Nepalese rotaractors and local people.
